Youth Craft Challenge Program

Participate in our Fall 2024 Youth Craft Challenge.  We provide some basic craft supplies and your child creates a project at home and shares their decorated project with our crafty community.

How it works:

For ages 6-14 years old

1. Register online by September 14, 2024 under Youth Workshops or stop by the store.

2. Stop by Crafts on the Move (COTM) between August 24 and September 15 to pick up your challenge craft packet.  All crafting packets must be picked up by September 15, 2024, no exceptions.  

3. Create a project with the items provided by the store.   You can also supplement with your own supplies.

4. Submit your child's completed project by October 18, 2024 to COTM.

5. Projects will be on display at the store during the week October 21, 2024.

6. Pick up submitted projects between October 29 - November 1, 2024.

Additional Information:

• Some basic supplies are necessary to participate.  Tools and supplies include and are not limited to the following: child safe scissors, glue, adhesive, or tape, ruler, pen or pencil, and any other desired tools and supplies that you may have at home.  The program is not intended to require any thing but some basic household supplies.
• We encourage you to use your own supplies in addition to supplement if desired.   
• If completed projects are not picked up by November 1, 2024 they will be discarded.
• Challenge is limited to 9 participants.
• We know the Fall is a busy season; therefore, there is no Open House for the Fall Challenge.  Projects will be on display share with patrons and community for the entire week of October 21, 2024.  
• Additional rules might be added as necessary.
• This is not a contest, it is an opportunity for the children to create a project that means something to them and share it with the community.
• Crafts on the Move is not responsible for any damage to completed projects while on display, but will try to help fix any damage.
• This is a voluntary program, and since space is limited, if you sign up and do not participate in the event, you forfeit any opportunities to participate in future sessions.
• Crafts on the Move will provide communications about dates and and live streams via email once a child has been registered for a seasonal session.

During each session, Crafts on the Move will accept donations of craft items from crafters and in return, donors will receive a $5.00 store credit.

How it works:

1. Please drop off suitable donations for children ages 6-14 (10 usable in good condition items per donation) crafting supplies at the store. 

2. Items will be evaluated to ensure they are safe for children and in good condition.  

3. Upon the assessment and acceptance of items, a $5.00 store credit will be awarded.  Store credit is valid for 1 month after date issued.  Store credit cannot be used towards sales tax, Karin, My Sweet Petunia, and Old Brand products, machines, workshops/classes, custom/special orders, crops, special events, and is not transferable.

Additional Information:

• Donor program may be updated as necessary.
• Items must be in good condition and will be evaluated before store credit is issued.
• List of products will consists of products such as; washi tape, gems, rhinestones, paper, ephemera, ribbon, twine, buttons, and more.  This is a representation of the list and not all inclusive.
• Limit one per person per challenge.
